Who Shot Rock & Roll Who Shot Rock & Roll
Jun. 23, 2012 - Oct. 7, 2012

Throughout the history of rock music, photographers have played a collaborative and creative role. In Who Shot Rock & Roll—the first exhibit about rock ‘n’ roll that spotlights this partnership—you can view the work of more than 100 of these photographers. Check out rare images, such as Alfred Wertheimer’s series of photos of Elvis Presley playfully kissing a woman backstage before a performance, to portraits including Michael Lavine’s photo of Notorious B.I.G., visitors experience the history of the musical genre. The exhibit features an original exclusive film with interviews and behind-the-scenes footage (Pictured: Danny Clinch, Tupac Shakur, 1993). 2000 Avenue of the Stars, Century City, 213.403.3000. annenbergspaceforphotography.org
