Little Bear Boasts Belgian Beer and Bites in Downtown Los Angeles

little-bearBar-slash-cafe Little Bear, in downtown’s arts district, pours Belgian-style imported and domestic beers and Belgian bites.

From Andre Guerrero, the chef behind comfort-food eatery the Oinkster, and Ryan Sweeney, craft-beer aficionado of the Surly Goat, comes Little Bear. The bar-slash-cafe in downtown’s arts district pours Belgian-style imported and domestic beers on draft from an extensive rotating list. Libations include selections from California-based the Bruery and Russian River Brewing Co. plus Belgian Owl, the only Belgian whiskey available in the United States. The kitchen turns out Belgian-inspired favorites such as liège waffles with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, waterzooi (chicken stew) and a selection of grilled cheeses stuffed with nontraditional ingredients such as ale-braised brisket and arugula or salmon and cream cheese. 1855 Industrial St., downtown, 213.622.8100. littlebearla.com
