San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon
June 2. Rock out to live entertainment during this 26.2-mile marathon featuring live music lining the streets, cheer squads, and a huge post-marathon concert to end the race with a bang. The race route includes more than nine miles of San Diego’s scenic waterfront, a stretch through Petco Park and a 13.1-mile half marathon. Spectators are encouraged to use public transportation to get to the race. Summer Shakespeare Festival 
June 2-Sept. 29. The Old Globe presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Merchant of Venice and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, performed in nightly repertory on its lovely outdoor stage. Mumford & Sons
June 3. After the smashing success of its debut album “Sigh No More,” Mumford & Sons received two Grammy Award nominations, one for Best New Artist and the other for Best Rock Song for “Little Lion Man.” Touring now to support their sophomore effort, “Babel,” the folk rockers each play multiple instruments during live performances. Padres Baseball
June 10-12, 14-16, 20-26. Sausage Fest
June 19. Ten of the city’s meat masters will attempt to cut the competition for rights to the best sausage in town. San Diego International Beer Festival 
June 21-23. Hundreds of handcrafted beers from dozens of international breweries are featured at this seventh annual event. Ocean Beach Street Fair and Chili Cook-Off
June 22. Enjoy a day of live music across six stages and a chili cook-off featuring more than two-dozen amateur entrants at this 34th annual event. The Ocean Beach Street Fair and Chili Cook-Off attracts more than 70,000 visitors throughout the day for tasty festival food, art, beachfront entertainment, shopping and the beer garden.
