Mille Fleurs Introduces ‘Taste of Terroirs’ Dining Series

mille-fleurLed by famed San Diego restaurateur and Mille Fleurs owner Bertrand Hug, each Taste of Terroirs event will highlight a notable wine region and its local cuisine.

On February 25, Rancho Santa Fe’s Mille Fleurs presents the first of its new Taste of Terroirs series, providing a rare opportunity for guests to wine and dine with local famed restaurateur Bertrand Hug. Hug, who owns upscale dining destinations Mille Fleurs and Bertrand at Mister A’s, along with longtime maitre d’ Marco Dedic, will lead diners on a culinary journey through the regions of Corbieres and Languedoc in Southwest France. The inaugural menu includes Moules Grillées, black mussel gratin with artichoke salad, verjus and olives; Danube Albigeoise, red wine-braised beef with thyme, garlic and steamed potatoes; and Crème de Homère, a flan with honey, white wine, cinnamon and lemon zest. Each course will be paired with a wine from the same region. Taste of Terroirs will be held the last Tuesday of every month. 6:30 p.m. $100/pp. 6009 Paseo Delicias, Rancho Santa Fe. 858.756.3085. millefleurs.com/mfmenu/mille-fleurs-taste-terroirs
